ABOUT MAGC
Moseley Alternative Giving Campaign (MAGC) was set up in 2014 with a government grant to tackle street drinking and aggressive begging. It’s run by volunteers who help administer a small grant scheme, paid for by donations.
We have also secured additional funding to employ a part-time support worker – Anji Page – who has been working directly with homeless and vulnerable people in Moseley since the spring of 2018.
MAGC is managed by Moseley Community Development Trust, which ensures we have minimal administrative costs – meaning almost 100% of money donated goes towards supporting vulnerable people in the community, or to funding our support-worker.
MAGC is overseen by a volunteer panel, which includes people with direct experience of working with the homeless. The panel reviews and approves grant applications, which must be made via support workers, to ensure money is properly spent.
